Send Pictures From Your Phone to Your Fileserver

Whether your phone is getting too full of pictures, you want to back them up or just want to share them with a group, the Email2Folder function of the Nomadesk Team Fileservers makes it easy. For this week’s tip, we’ll show you how to send your pictures directly from your mobile phone to your Team Fileserver.

To start you need to set up a folder on your Team Fileserver.

Double-click the drive icon of the Team Fileserver you would like to use and create a folder on the top level of your Fileserver. You can use capital letters but the folder cannot have spaces. We will call ours “MyMobilePictures”.

You can also login to your account at mynomadesk.com to add the folder to your Team Filserver by clicking on the Add Folder icon.

Once you have created the folder, you are ready to start adding pictures from your mobile phone. Simply create a new email with the selected pictures attached and address the email to mymobilepictures@myteamfileserver.nomadesk.com (replace myteamfileserver with the name of your fileserver).

When the Nomadesk fileserver syncs, your pictures will show up on a subfolder with your email address along with your email text. You can also download, share and even preview your pictures online when you login at mynomadesk.com.
