What’s it like to run a startup?

October 26, 2009 by · 1 Comment

I’ve been asked a zillion times what it is like to be part of a start-up company.  For sure I should have written on the topic a long time ago.  Still, it would have been a single man’s view, involved in one particular company/project – pretty tainted, right.

Today I came across a post by Paul Graham that simply blew me away and overclasses all academic “mumbo jumbo”, one usually gets to digest.  Remember, there’s  more people working on/around start-ups than in start-ups (i.e., government, consultants, etc.).

Anyway Paul’s post neatly describes what the Nomadesk team has been living through and I really wanted to share this with you as a “must read”: http://www.paulgraham.com/really.html

Paul Graham is one of the partners in Y Combinator - a well known incubator.

Thanks Filip – excellent article indeed. I’ve only been in the startup game for about 3 months, and already see the truth of it. Not sure if it’s encouraging or not :)
