Global Nomadesk Team

Today Nomadesk put out a press release announcing the addition of two new executives (including myself) to the team. This is an exciting time at Nomadesk and our growth has resulted in the need for additional resources to support our global expansion.  With these two hires the Nomadesk executive team is now split between the US and Europe (with three executives in each continent) emphasizing the priority Nomadesk places on providing a solution that works globally.  In reference to the two new hires, Darren Trumeter, Nomadesk CEO said:

“Both John and Mike bring exceptional, proven leadership to our company and we are excited about the direction they will bring to the marketing, product and sales teams. They are a great match for Nomadesk and will be key assets in our commitment to leading the international file-sharing market.”

I’ve been with Nomadesk since the beginning of May and I continue to be impressed with the product, the people, and the overall passion to help our customers. I look forward to engaging more with our existing customers, partners and prospects to hear how we can continue to improve.

Nomadesk and bplats Announce Partnership

Did you know that Nomadesk is already used in over 50 countries? We are quite proud of our international acceptance as a file sharing and storage solution and we are about to add another country to this list – Japan.  Well, we already have customers in Japan but we’re sure they will be happy with this announcement. We are adding a Japanese version of our software and partnering with a local cloud services organization named bplats to better serve the Japanese market. More details on this exciting partnership can be found in our press release here.

Below is a video from our co-founder and General Manager of EMEA, Filip Tack,  welcoming bplats and conveying our support as we expand further into the Japanese market. (Filip might look a little stiff in this video but he really is a fun guy!)

As always, your feedback and comments are highly valued – especially on our Facebook page.

Get Social with Us!

It’s a Social world and we’re just living in it… but are we taking advantage of it? Companies all around are looking for ways to create a following on their social networks. What do consumers get out of it?  FREE STUFF.

Free stuff comes in many forms. Two common forms are free products or services and free recognition. Cisco’s Facebook Page, for example, gives recognition to one “SuperFan” and places them in their Page Profile Picture.  We believe, however, that the most important form is free insight and information.

Now, let’s think about this…  I could maybe win some kind of product or service on Facebook by Liking a certain company, but the odds of that happening are slim to none.  I could maybe be placed in a very well-known Pages’ Profile Picture so that everyone who sees their Page sees my face too, yippee?  OR I could Like a Page and join a community where I get to hear about and take part in stuff that I have an interest in.  Personally I like the benefits of learning from my online social interactions – and thankfully so does Nomadesk. So that’s our goal to bring people together where Nomadesk can provide valuable information and the community can provide additional valuable insights.

Through our social media efforts, Nomadesk provides our followers the most valuable insight and information about file management, file sharing, and the cloud computing industry.  For example, we’ll go on our Facebook Page and share an article we found about security issues.  Then we’ll provide information on how you can keep your files safe in the cloud.  You, along with other Fans will comment, providing information on what you all do to keep your files safe, and in the end you will get all the information you need about security in the cloud.

Facebook Comment about bug in Windows Phone Nomadesk

If you wanted to make some product related suggestions you could also write on our wall, or comment on a post telling us what the problem is.  Recently we posted a link to our new Windows Phone App.  We asked Fans for feedback and we got a comment explaining a problem one of our users had.  That comment was given to the product manager and in our next version of the Windows Phone App, we fixed the problem that he had.

We are also active on LinkedIn and we understand you probably expect something a little different in that medium.  On LinkedIn you’ll find a slightly more serious tone with reviews of Nomadesk and open job postings at Nomadesk.

Nomadesk is also part of Vator, a social network for new startups and entrepreneurs.  You can find your friends’ startups, follow exciting new companies, and hear about all the new companies forming around interesting (and crazy) ideas.

We use our Twitter Page to inform our Followers about all the social media content we produce on ALL of our social networking websites.  So you could follow a company in hopes of winning one of their contests or being placed in one of their profile pictures for a day, OR you could use your resources and find valuable information on the things that are important in your life.  One and done. We hope the Nomadesk approach to social media works for you. Your feedback is appreciated below or on any of our social media sites!
